Ethan Michael Carter was born in Seattle, Washington to an entrepreneurial man, Richard Carter and his accountant, Marion Carter. It was a bright, rainy day when Marion was rushed to the hospital in labor on December 24th, 1987. Marion, alone and scared, held the nurse’s hand desperately while she gave birth to not just one child but two, Ethan Carter and his twin sister Michelle Carter. She held both children, feeling nothing but happiness and finally realizing that her life was complete even if her husband wasn’t there. During his early childhood, his mother was always there for him. She was the only smiling face he remembers and despite being a hellion as a toddler, she was never harsh with him. His parent’s marriage may not have been an easy one but Marion did all she could to hide her children from the sight of their fighting. By the time he was five years old, his father’s company finally took off and they found their way to New York City, New York. Being educated at the prestigious St. John’s School in Astoria from much of his grade school career, he became the leading forward for the school’s soccer team. He was so successful that he barely had to touch his studies, due to his school’s idea that he was needed on the team in order to win. And he preferred it this way, mostly because he was sick of his sister succeeding and always receiving praise from their estranged father. By the end of his senior year, he was granted a full ride scholarship to Columbia University, mostly to play on their soccer team. Thanks to his mother, he was forced to move back to New York City and stay with his parents while he served his community service. She wanted to make sure he would not only learn his lesson but he would still be safe and sound. Marion used her connections and Ethan started his first full day of working at the Smithsonian in New York. It was there that he started to learn more about humanity. How each person in history went through a major traumatic event in their lives before they became who they were. Ethan started to see the world in a different light. That it wasn’t just about his father’s affections or approval. That it was about the one woman who ever showed him any type of affection. She wanted him to succeed and he wanted nothing more than to show her he could. Ethan did everything he could for the next two years of his community service to help out, to prove he wasn’t just a party boy but someone his mother could be proud of.
From then onward, he lived not just with his parents during the summer but in a private school located outside of Manhattan. His early school years consisted mostly of watching his twin sister succeed in areas of her life that he struggled through. It was hard on him but he eventually accepted the fact that she was much better at understanding this whole thing called “life” then he was.

His involvement in school consisted mostly of parties, practice and never having to deal with being under the direct eye of both his sister and their father. During his early junior year of school, he was discussing money with his mother and found that she was right. Eventually he’d have to prove himself to his father if he ever wanted to touch his trust fund again. But Ethan had a different idea. He knew his team would win with him on the field, and that was an easy fact he could use. So, he went to a bookie and for the first time in his life he bet on his team.
This led to him taking in money left and right. He was so successful that his fellow team-mates started to get suspicious of his attitude. Usually he was the laid back, party-hearty fellow they were used too. But not this time around. He was serious, getting on them for lagging behind or disappearing for hours after the game. When his coach caught wind of his team being suspicious of their captain he followed Ethan to an unknown location and watched him receive money from the person. Only to overhear the words of him betting on his team to lose the next time around. That was it, the Coach was distraught and knew he had to do the right thing. He took this news to the school’s headmaster and then to the police. By the time of the their next game, Ethan was escorted off of the campus and into the custody of the police.
In 2005, he was charged with illegal gambling and forced into community service for the next two years of his life. Mostly due to his mother’s connections and her lawyers, he was thankful of not having to serve any jail time. She was disappointed with his actions and made sure he knew it. But it was the look of utter betrayal his sister gave him as he was sitting in court.

When his service was over with, he told his mother everything he wanted to do. She only smiled through her tears and hugged him, she said she was happy with him and wanted nothing more than for him to be happy. He packed up what little he had and left for Boston, Massachusetts the next morning. Upon his arrival he found himself lost and confused. He had no idea why he did this in the beginning. Wanting nothing more than to call his mother for help, he swallowed that fear and headed for the place she knew she could get him a job: Bergmen Industries.
It was there he received a job as a lowly intern, a job that he didn’t think he would get by working in the science area of the building. Gladly, he took it and on his first day he nearly destroyed everything in the lab. But his boss was okay with it, she showed her evil brow and he accepted the job of cleaning up everything even if it took him all day to do it. On his way home that night, he saw a pet store that was still open. Feeling lonely with himself, he went in and couldn’t find what he was looking for in a pal. But the shopkeeper saw his loss and told him to come back in the morning. A friend of his had a bird that produced a few eggs and wanted to get rid of them before they hatched. The next morning, Ethan was the first one to the shop and the last one to leave that day. But this time he wasn’t alone, he held a small egg in his hand and the equipment for hatching it in the other. For the next few weeks, he did nothing but go to work and come home to watch over the egg with a stupid grin on his face waiting patiently for the magic to happen.
It was a night he would never forget, the egg had hatched and a small beak was all he could see. With some help from him, his new best friend Skeets, was finally out of it’s shell and when their eyes met… Ethan said the world stood still. This was a new reason for him to succeed in the world. For the next three years of his life, he did all he could to take care of both himself and Skeets.

He is a horrible victim of getting hit by that stick called life. • Languages he is fluent in: english, korean (hangul) + western/eastern (dialect) japanese. • Middle name is michael + they share the same last name. agility, longevity, stamina, super hearing, super sight, super strength, time manipulation, time travel, unarmed combat (martial arts) + weapon master. the robot is his best friend, the reason why and how he became booster gold in the first place. but for ethan, the bird is the reason why he decided to change his life even if it meant he had to start all the over from the very beginning. during cv week, skeets the bird shifts into skeets the robot. the robot itself retains all and records all. but the problem is the moment it is over with skeets shifts back to his normal birdlike self. which only means it cannot communicate it's knowledge to anyone. one of the few items that michael carter stole from the space museum of the 25th century was a 30th century legion of super heroes flight ring. the ring, designed by legionnaire brainiac 5, harnesses a alien metal to provide its wielder with the power of flight. the ring is activated mentally via wilful interaction and requires conscious thought to power flight. the ring is also capable of translating language. booster has demonstrated that the ring does not need to be worn to be manipulated mentally, but it must be in close proximity to the user. also stolen was a force field belt. this belt was also designed by brainiac 5. the advanced technology of the belt generates an extremely powerful personal force field capable of deflecting missile blasts or preventing oxygen-loss in the vacuum of space. the force field can be adapted and channelled to focus around the user or projected a moderated distance. twentieth-century reproductions of brainiac 5's force field created after the destruction of the original belt were considerably less resistant that the original "invulnerable" belt. the goggles function as infrared sensors, allowing booster to detect body heat and see at night. the goggles can also enhance vision, either enlarging things at a distance, like binoculars or increase the apparent size of very small objects, like a microscope. other technology that booster gold stole from the 25th century space museum includes alien designed wrist-mounted blaster rays that booster has nicknamed his "booster shots." each wristband can fire a directed energy ray at the push of a lever concealed in booster's gloves. the force of the blasts can be adjusted from a simple stun to a destructive blast able to destroy hardened concrete. this skin-tight, solid blue power-suit featuring the logo of the advanced research group uniting super-humans doesn't appear to be functionally different than booster gold's more familiar mark xiii power-suit. visually, however, with its bulky gloves, chest and knee pads, belt and pouches. it has far more in common with the clunky, ungainly suits booster worn during his time with extreme justice.
